For the crinkle cake
10 sheets filo pastry
20 grams butter
300 grams cream
2  eggs, medium
20 grams sugar
1 tsp vanilla bean paste
1 pinch salt
20 grams slivered almonds

For the maple-glazed apples
400 grams apples, sweet and sour
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 Tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp butter

To serve
4 scoops vanilla ice cream


Instructions

STEP 1/10

For the maple-glazed apples: Peel, core and dice the apples.

STEP 2/10

Mix the diced apples with the maple syrup, cinnamon and butter in a bowl and place in one drawer of the TwinCook 3.

STEP 3/10

For the crinkle cake: Melt the butter, fold the filo sheets in waves and place in the second drawer of the TwinCook 3.

STEP 4/10

Pour the melted butter over the filo pastry sheets and spread with a brush.

STEP 5/10

For the first drawer set the Veggie program at 180°C for 20 minutes.

STEP 6/10

For the second drawer set the Bake program at 160°C for 25 minutes.

STEP 7/10

As soon as the temperature and time have been set, the SYNC button appears. Press the SYNC button, then the Start button. Mix the apple pieces occasionally.

STEP 8/10

Whisk the cream with the eggs, sugar, vanilla paste and salt. After 5 minutes baking time pour it over the filo pastry sheets.

STEP 9/10

Sprinkle the slivered almonds over the crinkle cake after 20 minutes baking time and roast for the last 5 minutes.

Serve the crinkle cake with glazed apples and vanilla ice cream.
