Ingredients

Servings: 4
Makes:

3  pears, peeled and cored
3  apples, peeled, cored and diced
150 grams caster sugar
3 tbsp. water
0.5 tsp. ginger, powdered
100 grams unsalted butter, chilled
100 grams plain flour, sifted
100 grams brown sugar
80 grams almonds, ground

Instructions

STEP 1/4

Pre-heat the oven to 190°C. For the filling, place the apples and pears in the chopper accessory from Braun’s MultiMix 3 Hand mixer HM 3135. Thanks to ComfortClick function you can keep the same comfortable hand position no matter which attachment you are using. Chop the apples and pears to a smooth mixture. Start slowly and speed up gradually, you have the full range of variable speeds at your disposal – with every attachment. Place the fruit in a medium-sized pan and add the sugar, water and powdered ginger.

STEP 2/4

Cook for 10 minutes over medium heat until the fruit starts to soften and release its juice. Now spoon the mixture into 4 small ramekins.

STEP 3/4

For the topping, attach the kneading hooks to the hand mixer with one click. Place the flour, brown sugar, almonds and butter into a large bowl and blend the mixture until it resembles coarse breadcrumbs.

STEP 4/4

Spread the crumble topping evenly and generously over the fruit and bake in the pre-heated oven for 20 minutes until it is bubbling and the topping is golden brown. Allow to cool for 15 minutes before serving.

This recipe was prepared using Braun’s MultiMix 3 Hand mixer HM 3135 with its 500 mlchopper accessory and kneading hook accessory.
This recipe can be also prepared with Braun’s TributeCollection Kitchen machine KM 3050 or IdentityCollection Food processor FX 3030.
