For the baba ganoush:
Wash and peel the aubergines and cut into thick slices.
Insert the grill plate at the bottom and the griddle plate at the top and use the MultiGrill 7 as a contact grill. Set the temperature of the lower and upper plates to 230°C and press the start/stop button to preheat the grill.
When the display shows ready, place the aubergines on the lower grill plate and cook until tender, about 8-10 minutes.
Roughly chop the aubergine slices and place in the 500 ml chopper with the crushed garlic, parsley and tahini, some salt, pepper and oil. Blend until you have a smooth, fine-grained mass. Garnish with parsley and paprika powder or smoked paprika.
For the croutons:
Turn the MultiGrill 7 to the oven grill position. Set the lower and upper thermostat knob to 230° C. Press the start/stop button to preheat the grill.
When the display shows ready, brush the bread pieces with cooking oil and place them on the lower grill plate, close the upper grill plate in the oven grill position (as close as possible to the food being grilled, but without touching it) and cook for about 5-8 minutes.
Serve the croutons with the aubergine cream.
